My home network

Like the mechanic whose car never runs properly, I have several machines at home in less-than-perfect working order, arranged in some kind of pseudo-network. Here they are:

  • Daphne is my old n-server, where n represented a great many things. Note that Daphne has been decomissioned and stricken from the roster; this information is kept for historical purposes.
  • Pooh is my MythTV Machine.
  • Endeavour is my laptop.
  • Procyon is my new central server, providing all the backend services for my network.

Since my basement is completely finished and I don't feel like drywalling yet, my entire network is connected via 802.11g using a DWL-G650 access point. The wireless and wired network are on the same subnet, and the wireless network is WPA protected.
