I love looking out my living room window and seeing birds in the tree in my front yard. The problem is, I'm usually too busy to sit in my living room staring at my feeders for hours on end..

Just wanted to let all my avid readers know that I've got some new nature and animal photos, and posted the results of some RAW photo manipulation in my Experiments album.

The CHDK firmware add-on is now available for the Canon SX10 IS. This firmware is a non-destructive (runs off the SD card, doesn't overwrite your camera's own firmware) addition that enables many advanced and cool features that aren't available in the camera from the factory.

There are numerous detailed articles on HDR (high-dynamic-range photography) out there on the internet, like the Wikipedia article and the HOWTO on instructables.com, so I won't bore you with too many details. What I'm going to do here is give a very brief rundown on what HDR is and how you can do it.
