Just wanted to let all my avid readers know that I've got some new nature and animal photos, and posted the results of some RAW photo manipulation in my Experiments album.

The CHDK firmware add-on is now available for the Canon SX10 IS. This firmware is a non-destructive (runs off the SD card, doesn't overwrite your camera's own firmware) addition that enables many advanced and cool features that aren't available in the camera from the factory.
There are numerous detailed articles on HDR (high-dynamic-range photography) out there on the internet, like the Wikipedia article and the HOWTO on instructables.com, so I won't bore you with too many details. What I'm going to do here is give a very brief rundown on what HDR is and how you can do it.
My new Canon SX10 IS has a hot shoe; I've been experimenting with a borrowed Nikon SB-22s flash and have posted my experiments in my Experimental Photos albumn.
Last night I went and shot a few panorama photos around town. Today I stitched them together and uploaded them. You can see them in my new Panorama Albumn.
Mad Propz to Hugin. This thing makes stitching together multiple shots into a single panorama about as easy as falling over.
Recently, my camera (a Canon PowerShot S3 IS) began to exhibit some strange behaviour. Sometimes, while zooming, the camera would report "Lens error, restart camera" and then shut down. I began to think about a replacement.
